Young earned her law degree from New York Law School in 2018. While in law school, she was the President of the NAELA NYLS Chapter for three years and organized numerous educational programs on various elder care issues. Young is a New York State licensed social worker, who has dedicated 20 years advocating for the rights and quality of life for the elderly. She was the Director of a Community Long Term Care program for over ten years. Prior to that, Young worked in a skilled nursing home, as the Director of their Social Services department. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter School of Social Work and her Bachelor’s degree in social work from New York University.
Young volunteers for Caringkind, as a support group leader for Koreans who care for their loved ones with dementia.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and hiking.
Young is fluent in Korean.
